First time we came here, almost 17 years ago. We were young kids around this time of the year we left New Jersey for the first time. "We came to Japan!" We've had a first album, and "Runaway" was all around the radio, and all we dript about, was getting this big gold record. And it was the Japanese record company that gave us our first gold record. It's true. Now, people ask why we come to Japan to start the tour....and I just look around and I say, "Well, I got a lot of friends in Japan." - Tokyo Dome 2000

Now, I know it's been a long time since I've been up this way. It's been about what? 4 years since we've been Fukuoka, right? 4 years now? 96? Now, a lot's happening in 4 years...I mean a lot is happening in 4 years. Dave went to have himself another baby. I mean not personally but his wife. Richie had himself a little baby, not him, but his wife. there's been solo albums, there's been an exhibition, there's been babies and ?? buying a house and buying cars and writing songs and...me? I went out to Hollywood to become a movie star. While I was out there I started to get these full messages in my hotel room...finding anonymous voice, saying "come on home Jonny". Then I started seeing these dots underneath my door...and they said "Jonny, Be good, come on home". And before you know it, one night when I was minding my own business down the parking lot of the Four Season's bar in Los Angeles California, I ordered myself a drink. And I was minding my own business and I said to the girl at the bar I said, "Young lady ??? have a cosmopolitan please?" And just when I was about to grab my glass up, felt these hands go across my eyes with this big old ???for taking me and sucking me down and my hands were pulling me in the car and next thing I knew I was back on the street of New Jersey I didn't know what happened to me any more!!!
With my eyes closed, my hands are tied, I was asking for a person, I was asking that please spare my life... I was telling that let me just dial the right phone ?? so that somebody somewhere would come to help me out. And as I asked the kidnappers name I said, "Excuse me kind sir or madam, what is it that he wants from me? Is it money? I'll get you money. Is it a car? I can buy you a car. Is it girls? I know lots of them". And there was a long hesitation, anonymous voice...sounded a little bit familiar to me. All I can tell you is it's not ??? But it was a ?? It says "You try to get out and we pull you back in. So, put your bag, son, runaway and join their rock band, and don't ever ever set for in that Hollywood California again." And that day I made silent cross I said, "I swear to Elvis, I will do just as you are saying! I promise you from this day boy, you'll be counting on me because whatever you said, I'm gonna do! because I ???????? All I can say, all I can say, all I can say...!!! - Fukuoka Dome 2000

前回福岡に着てから何年？4年？そうだよな、96年だったから4年経ったんだよな。この4年間、いろいろなことがあったよ。とてもいろんなことがね。ディヴィッドは子供を授かったし・・・彼というより、彼の妻がね。リッチーも子供が生まれた。彼じゃないよ。奥さんが生んだんだよ。ソロアルバムがあって、展示会があって、子供や？や、家も買ったし、車も買ったし、曲も書いたし・・・オレ？オレは映画スターになるためにハリウッドへ行ったんだ。（観客大歓声）そこにいた時、ホテルの部屋で正体不明の声を聴いたんだ。その声が言うんだ。「帰ってこい、ジョニー」って。そしてドアの下の方にシミで、「ジョニー・B・グッド、帰っておいで」と書かれていた。そしてある夜、ロサンゼルスのフォーシーズンズのバーの駐車場で用事を済ませて飲み物を頼んだ。そして考え事をしながらバーの女の子に「お嬢さん、コスモポリタンを？？（←わかんなーい。カクテルの名前とかかな？）」と言ったんだ。そしてまさにグラスを口に近づけようとしたその時、誰かの手がオレの目をふさいで、オレは車の中へとひきづりこまれた。そして次の瞬間、オレは自分がニュージャージーの通りにいることに気づいたのさ。（ドラムのビートと共にだんだん絶叫して）自分に何が起こったのかもうさっぱりわからなかったよ！
・・・オレは目隠しをされて、手をしばられながら「命だけは助けてくれ」と頼んだ。せめて電話をかけさせてくれ、と。そうすればどこかの誰かがオレを助けに来てくれるかもしれない。そしてオレはその誘拐犯の名前を聞いて言ったんだ。「親切な奥様、だんなさま、一体何がほしい？金か？金ならくれてやる。車か？車だって買い与えてやる。それとも女か？女ならいっぱい知ってるぜ」（観客はやしたてる）しばらくの沈黙があって、オレはその声に聞き覚えがあることに気づいた。その声が言うんだ。「お前が逃れようとしても、オレはお前を引き戻すぞ。だから荷物を置いて逃げるんだ。逃げて彼らのロックバンドへ戻るんだ。そして二度とハリウッドに移るな」その日オレは静かに誓いを立てた。「エルビス、あんたに誓うよ。あんたの言う通りにしよう。今日この日から、オレを信じてくれていいよ。あんたが何を言おうとも、オレは言う通りにするから！だってオレが言えることは、オレが言えることは、オレが言えることは・・・（Rockin' All Over the Worldを歌い始める）（2000年福岡ドームで）

ビデオLive From Londonでも言ってるので、少なくとも古くは95年頃から言い出したと思われる。ミッション・インポッシブル１の公開ってこのころ？2001年のライブでも連発してました。プププ。

マーボーさんのお言葉を借りると「シートベルトをしめな。オレが運転するぜ～」
ライブの行方をジョンが握っていることをよくあらわしてる言葉ですね。
1、2曲目を終わった最初のMCで言うことあり。

「ここまでの調子はどう？」
これもすごく頻繁に言います。最低でも1公演に1回は言ってるはず（笑）

手拍子を求める時によく言います。Lay Your Hands On Meの時など。

「ついて来てるかい？」　ライブの中盤あたりでよく言います。I'll Sleep When I'm Deadの時など。

ジョニーのロックンロール教会の信者はいるか？ということです。これも頻繁に言います。

It's for all the cowboys out there.

「この曲をここにいるすべてのカウボーイのために」
もちろんWanted dead Or Aliveの前に。

Is there any cowboys in the house?

この言い方の場合もあり。

Is there a doctor in the house?!

「ここに医者はいるか？！」
これもBad Medicineの前の決まり文句。
これを言ったらライブの本編は終了？

Do you wanna go home?

「家に帰りたいか？」去年のライブ、東京二日目に出たセリフ。
こういうセリフは日本人にはトリッキーだから気をつけないといけませんね。
でもみんな「NOOOOO!」ってちゃんと言ってたよね。

You are not getting tired, are you?

「疲れてないよな？！」これもまぎらわしい・・・。
日本語では「疲れてないよね？」「うん、疲れてないよ」とか言うけど、英語では「疲れてないよね？」「ううん、疲れてないよ」と言うのが常なので、 NOOOOOO!!と答えなきゃNGですよー。

Are you getting tired?

と率直に聞く時もあり。この場合もNOOOOOOO!!!
